Full disclosure: despite the shared surname, we are in no way related. That said, I half wondered if we were due to how at-ease I felt from the off. I came to him properly last minute, with barely any notice, and Neil didn’t miss a beat. I was calm the moment I walked in; no pretension, just attentiveness and expertise, which made a real difference given how little time we had to work with. It fit perfectly, despite my anatomy resembling that of a mythological beast. I honestly can’t remember the last time I looked at myself in a suit and felt that good. I was almost overwhelmed by it. I was looking for a classic three-piece dinner suit, but I’m not the easiest person to fit off the peg, which is exactly why going bespoke was the right decision. From our very first meeting, Alex guided me through the entire process with incredible knowledge, patience and attention to detail. Every decision - from the proportions and leg width to the overall balance of the suit - was carefully explained, with Alex drawing on years of experience to ensure everything would work perfectly for my build. At no point did I feel rushed; every fitting felt personal, collaborative and completely focused on getting the best possible result. The quality of the finished suit speaks for itself. Alex recommended a mohair cloth, explaining exactly how it would perform, and he was spot on. It has enough weight to hang beautifully and resist creasing, yet remains breathable and comfortable to wear. What stood out most was the level of service. Alex made me feel I was in safe hands throughout the entire journey, gently steering me away from ideas that wouldn’t have worked and towards choices that would stand the test of time. He even accommodated a last-minute change of heart on the lapel width, happily arranging an additional fitting to make sure everything was exactly right. That care and commitment really made the whole process a real pleasure. I genuinely couldn’t recommend McCann Bespoke - and Alex in particular - highly enough. As an added bonus, the CEO of Clapham dropped in during one of my fittings. If it’s good enough for him, it’s certainly good enough for the rest of us! Five stars without hesitation.
