The Art of the Overcoat
A ready-made coat is cut for no one in particular. Ours begins with your measurements, taken over the jacket you wear most often. That way, your overcoat sits cleanly across the shoulders, leaves room for the suit beneath and falls exactly where it should.
At our Lime Street store, your tailor will guide you through every choice, from the cloth and the cut to the lining and buttons. Wear it over a suit on the morning walk through the City, or with knitwear at the weekend. Either way, it is shaped around the way you live and dress.

The Cloth
We source our overcoat cloths from the world’s leading mills, including Loro Piana and Dormeuil.
Choose from soft wool-cashmere blends, textured herringbones and houndstooths, and weather-resistant cloths made for London’s unpredictable winters.
From Loro Piana, the Storm System collection keeps out wind and rain while staying light and soft to the touch. From Dormeuil, collections such as Luxury Overcoating offer superfine cashmere with real depth of colour and texture. The finest cloths only improve with wear, softening and moulding to you over the years.
Your tailor will help you find the cloth that suits how and where you wear your coat.
The Details
Lapel width, button stance, pockets, back vents, lining and even a personal monogram are all yours to choose. The result is a coat that fits flawlessly and belongs to no one else.
