An Ashes Fireside Chat at McCann Bespoke

Last night, our Lime Street store hosted one of the most memorable evenings of the year, an exclusive client event featuring an Ashes Fireside Chat with Sir Andrew Strauss and Tim Bresnan, hosted by the ever-brilliant Archie Curzon.

From the moment guests arrived, the atmosphere felt special. Drinks were flowing upstairs at the McCann bar, conversations sparked instantly, and the room filled with clients from across business, sport, and the City, all gathered for an evening of storytelling, insight, and plenty of laughs.

Archie Curzon set the tone perfectly, guiding the conversation with his trademark humour and sharp timing. Strauss and Bresnan shared behind-the-scenes stories from their careers, Ashes memories, dressing-room moments, and honest reflections on leadership and performance at the highest level. It was an intimate, relaxed, and genuinely entertaining fireside chat that had everyone fully engaged.

During the evening, we also invited clients to make a direct donation to the Ruth Strauss Foundation, a charity doing vital work supporting families affected by incurable cancer. In return, Sir Andrew Strauss generously signed a limited number of cricket bats on the night. We were delighted to see so many guests take part and support such an important cause.
