As the name suggests the Safari jacket was first worn in the African bush in the 1930’s by men out on safari, although the origins can date back to the Boer War with the soldiers wearing lightweight cotton jackets with four bellows patch pockets, epaulettes and a belted waist. This jacket takes inspiration from the original Safari jacket, with traditional patch pockets both on the waist and on the breast. Its made in a breathable and lightweight linen-cotton blend meaning its ideal to wear throughout the summer. Khaki in colour means it goes very well with neutral tones. Wear with cream cotton or linen trousers.
